Jude 1
1Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called:
The book of Jude is a letter by Jude who was the brother of James. James, Jude, and the Messiah all had the same earthly mother, Mary. After Jesus, Mary had more children. They didn't believe Jesus was who he was, but after His death and resurrection they started to really dive into learning and James grew to be an important figure in the church and Jude as well. Their knowledge is very straight forward and direct; and I can only imagine if they have more books that have been confiscated or held in Rome; there must be much detail about Jesus childhood in those since they grew up with Him. At any rate, let's read.
4For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
Here we go again warning us of men who are wolves in sheep's clothing, they are ungodly and through their doctrine they have denied the Father and the Son. How would we ever know about this unless we read the scriptures? When I was growing up church was about a preacher motivating me, encouraging me, and telling me how I needed to come to Christ. He never told me why, how, what I was doing it for. These are things ministers should incorporate in their teachings.
Jude reminds us how we are not saved once we repent; but we have to continue in His word in order to be saved. The Lord took the children of Israel out of Egypt but then He destroyed those who did not believe. Angels have been thrown out of the third heaven and are on the earth in chains of darkness waiting for judgment and they were in heaven. Once saved, not always saved is the theme here. Sodom and Gomorrah example; how the citizens of were fornicating men lying with men, women with women, as we have today and the Lord gave the example of raining fire down to burn up the towns (v5-8). That's a prelude to the lake of fire for homosexuality. It is not to be done. If a man is frowned upon for committing adultery, he should certainly be frowned upon for indulging in a intimate relationship with another man.
11Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core. Jude even talks like Jesus, "woe unto them" that have followed Cain's way of life, and Balaam for a reward, and those who gainsay, that is to preach or teach for money only. That is not good.
Enoch Did Write A Book
14And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,
15To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
Here Jude mentions Enoch and even quotes from a book Enoch wrote. I'm particularly interested in this for two reasons. First off, there is a book of Enoch out there and it is not of any quality, it was written as a fictional story with pieces of biblical truths in it and when books that claim to be authentic pop up, I expect them to have cohesion with the bible. Second point of interest it this; we see Jesus refer to Noah, to Adam and Eve, to Zechariah the prophet that was killed in the Temple.
Now if Jesus speaks about these people, and we believe Jesus then we must believe that these people existed. Also if they existed and Jesus quotes their body of work as He did Moses and Daniel; then the prophet's literature is indeed quality. Same thing here with Jude, for him to quote from Enoch confirms he existed and that he had a body of work that perhaps the Hamites use to read, Abraham, Isaac, and Israel along with the twelve patriarchs. People of old had to live off of more than just visions and traditions; and here we see that they had some literature from a man who was changed to become immortal.
What did he write? He was the seventh man from Adam and He prophesied about the return of the Lord, coming with too many saints to execute judgment on all people, and finally convince people that this is not about evolution but about God and His creation. God knew about the sinful nature of man and how they would end up fighting against Him during the days of Enoch. That is a mighty God.
Jude ends warning us to look out for false prophets as the Apostle's taught. Remember in Matthew 24 when the disciples asked about the end of the world and Jesus return; the first thing Jesus said was be aware that no one deceives you. This is why every prophet and apostle gives the warning so that we are on our toes by reading and understanding the scriptures.
Now into the daring, scary book of Revelation we go.
Revelation Chapter 1
1The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:
2Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.
I want us to think back yesterday when we read that there were three that bare record in Heaven about Jesus Christ and those three are one. Do you you remember? Good. Now the author is preparing to reveal that record to us; that is what revelation means; as in "I just had a revelation," something was just revealed to me.
The revelation of Jesus Christ (1), which God (the Father (2)) gave to Him to show to His servants (men) concerning things that will shortly come to pass. He (Jesus) sent and made it known to man by His angel (3) who gave it to John. What did the angel give John, the man, the record of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ and of all the things that the angel saw.
The three in heaven that bare record of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ are non other than the Father, the Son or the Word the Messiah Jesus Christ, and the Holy Angel, which the Lord made spirits, so they are Holy Spirits or Holy Ghost. The angel is a form of the Holy Ghost. He is the Comforter that comes in the name of the Lord to comfort us. He tells us when we get weak that this world is temporary and that we need to keep strong and keep faith to enter into the Lord's kingdom. Remember, the angels are sent to minister to them who are to be heirs of eternal life. That is us, so there is no God the Holy Ghost and we have 20 more chapters in this book to read to prove that, but from what we've gathered the Holy Ghost is an angel and not God.
The reason it has been taught to be God is because they said these three are one, confusion. Really, it is Satan attempting to make his seat among God's seat. It is not so everyone, there are only two in the Godhead.
3Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.
We are blessed if we read not only this book; but all the others and we keep the sayings of all the books. We are being blessed right now. Now John had seven churches to write to in Asia from Jesus who was, is, and is to come and John received these from the seven Spirits that stand before Jesus throne in Heaven. Jesus has seven angels that are His eyes and ears throughout the earth. They report as we saw them gathering in the days of Job when Satan showed up to, to tell the Lord what has been going on in the earth. Many atheist tend to mock that Jesus is everywhere; and they should mock pastors that make that statement without clarification that Jesus is everywhere like the Chicago Police are everywhere. By posting cameras up that record all of the movements in the city, they see everything where the cameras are.
Angels have eyes all over their wings so they will capture the moment (no pun intended); and be able to report us directly to Lord if we offend. Jesus has made us kings and priest, if we overcome, to the Father.
10I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,
We've read it multiple times that Jesus will come with the clouds, and all will see Him. They will recognize Him when they see it is Him who they pierced. John was on the Island of Patmos and the visions came over him and took him in the Spirit to the Lord's day. The same day of the Lord that Zechariah wrote on, Ezekiel, Daniel, Isaiah, Haggai, Habakkuk, and many other prophets. John received it to; maybe with some further detail.
We read about the Lord saying He is the first and the last in Isaiah, this is Jesus, the first God we've ever heard from, and last God we'll hear from while we are in the flesh. He was here with the first man and He will be here with the last man, He will be here when the first man is resurrected from the dead and He will be here when the last man in resurrected. He told John to write down all that he sees and put it in a book and send it to the seven churches in Asia (worlds largest continent).
John saw seven golden candle sticks, Jesus in the middle of the seven, wearing a garment down to His feet (Jesus has feet even as a Spirit Being). His hair was white like wool; that is why Morgan Freeman has a white head of hair in the Bruce Almighty movies, and if you have been impressed when someone has green eyes, imagine eyes that flame like fire. He had black feet that looked brass, like they've been burnt in fire, and an excellent yet scary voice of many waters (v14-15).
Jesus had seven stars in His right hand, they are the angels sent to the seven churches, and the seven candlesticks are the seven churches. The Lord had a minister at these seven churches that will read these books of the bible and the holy spirit will guide these men as they read and they are suppose to teach the people what is to come.
Revelation 2
1Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;
Now the Lord directs the angels of what they should write to their perspective churches. The church of Ephesus he wrote that they are doing okay; but need to clean up their behavior more or He will quickly come and remove them.
The church in Ephesus had one thing going for them is that they hated the deeds of the Nicolaitanes, which the Lord hated as well. Everyone that over comes Jesus will give them the ability to eat of the tree of life, Himself, and that is eternal life. If you overcome (v6-7)!
Nicolaitanes: Nicolaism (also Nicholaism, Nicolationism, or Nicolaitanism) is a Christian heresy whose adherents are called nicolaitans,nicolaitanes, or nicolaites Nico, translated from Latin as Conqueror. Laitan would refer to Lay people, or layity, Hence the word can be taken to mean "Lay conquerors" or Conquerors of the Lay People. in essence John when writing revelation warned of Bishops or men of the clergy who abused their power. Some would take this to see that John foresaw the abuse of power by the Roman Catholic institution and the power that the bishops and popes would gain in the coming centuries (Reference).
9I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.
11He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.
Now to the church in Smyrna the Lord I am sure was speaking to actual physical children of Israel, letting them know He knows their hard work and tribulation and how they are in captivity and impoverish, however they are rich (in the word of God), and He also knows about a people who say they are Jews, and are not; but are actually of the synagogue of Satan. The Lord knows all this and we do now. Whoever is out there that calls themselves Jews may have to be shaken down and prove they are because they could be lying according to this scripture.
The Lord tells not to fear any of the things they are to suffer; but to be faithful to the end to receive a crown of life (v9-10). If you overcome; you will not have to go into the lake of fire; which is the second death. Many people that do not read or believe the scripture never knew they could die twice!
12And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges;
17He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.
The church of Pergamos is a church wholly given to Satan, his earthly throne is at this church and they call on the name of the Lord, and use His name; but deny His faith. This church does what Balaam's doctrine did, eat things sacrificed to idols, have random fornication (spiritually and physically), they have the doctrine also of the Nicolaitanes (that the Lord hates), and they spiritually misleading. Now we'll actually read later where Satan's seat is geographically located; but with verse 13 we can get a picture of where Satan's seat is. Antipas was a faithful servant of God and was killed in the area where Satan's seat is. According to "Christian tradition" Antipas was stationed in Rome with John the apostle and thus was killed there.
The sources I read from said it was "Christian tradition" and not documented sources. Those in Pergamos that overcome will get eternal life as well (v12-17).
18And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass;
20Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.
24But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden.
25But that which ye have already hold fast till I come.
26And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:
To the church in Thyatira the Lord saw some good but warned them they should not let a woman, teach. People are accustomed to thinking that when you call a woman Jezebel, you are insulting her that she is a "hooker" or whorish woman. It is not so; when you call a woman Jezebel, you are calling her a preacher; according to verse 20. Now the Lord gave her room to repent, but she hasn't and the Lord is going to put her and those who commit adultery with her into a bed dead in the middle of the great tribulation. This means those of her decedents who are doing her deeds at the time of the great tribulation. They that do and allow this will not have any escape. If you avoid this and over come you will have power over the nations. In other words you will rule with Christ.
29He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
After each message to the churches, it carefully says, those that have ears should hear what the Spirit or the Angel says to the churches. I'm not spirit nor an angel; but I am reading words given by the Spirit or angels who received it from the Lord, so if you have ears, listen and understand what's being said. You may just need it one day.
Revelation 3
1And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.
5He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
6He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
Now to Sardis, they had works that are perfect before God and should continue in Him in order to avoid their names being blotted out of the book of life.
8I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.
9Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.
12Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.
13He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
The church in Philadelphia were also physical Israelites of the seed of Jacob because the Lord said they have not denied His name and will make those of the synagogue of Satan who say they are Jews but aren't and are lying, the Lord will make them come and worship before the feet of these people. And because these Israelites have kept the Lord's word through their captivity, He is going to deliver them from temptation as the Lord's prayer says. The hour of temptation, which is the great tribulation that is coming on the whole world to see where everyone's faith is at concerning God.
He that overcomes will get the name of God and the new city Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven. The kingdom will be here on the earth.
14And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
19As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
21To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
22He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
Lastly the church of Laodiceans, these people were lukewarm concerning the word of God. They believe in God but don't think the whole bible is true; they attend services then come up missing for years then come to a Easter service or so. The Lord desires that you either serve Him fully or not at all. These are rich people and do not have much need for anything so they don't search out; but deep down they do not see how miserable they are. It reminds me of the great entertainer that passed away recently, rich, popular, but liked under the scrutiny of the media, was miserable, wretched, poor spiritually, blind, and naked at the end of the day because all his fame and riches are being buried in the dirt it came from.
The Lord says don't worry about hard times because those He loves He rebukes and chastens, so be excited about hardships and repent. Those who do and overcome will Jesus grant to sit on His thrown. You will be a ruler during the thousand years of peace on the earth when the Lord returns.
Revelation 4
1After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.
2And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.
Now after all these talks to the churches; John was shown the throne of God. People like to think this is in heaven; but remember what this vision was about. John was in the spirit on the Lord's day. The Lord's day is from the point of His return and forward, so these visions are what is taking place when the Lord returns and forward. So this throne that John says is in heaven is actually right here on the earth but in Jerusalem. The earth is a heaven any way; but John is looking into the future when the Lord Jesus returns.
Jesus was on the throne looking like precious stones and had a rainbow around His throne. God is not endorsing the gay-pride parade; they have taken that and made filthiness of it; but if you remember in Ezekiel chapter one when Ezekiel saw the Lord, He wrote the Lord had a bow around the throne. This is the same bow that the Lord made a covenant with Noah regarding not flooding the world again and here it is again by John (v3-5).
Now the Lord had 24 elders who sat around the throne in white raiment and they had crowns; so they were ruling, we know who these are but we're not concerned about them here. But just a bit on them; they are men who have been resurrected into the God family
Now immediately before the throne of the Lord were four beast that go with Him everywhere. 7And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.
8And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, LORD God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.
Remember these guys? 
They are the cherubims that the Lord placed to keep the tree of life and they go with Him everywhere. It is a scary sight. All, including the 24 elders worshiped the Lord.
Revelation 5
5And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
Then John saw a book in the Lord's right hand and it was sealed and no one was worthy to open the book except for Jesus. This is a different throne with someone different sitting on it; and we'll see why in a moment.
6And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.
7And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.
The Lamb, which is Jesus, came and took the book out of the hand of Him that sat on the throne. When Jesus Christ did this, everyone fell down and worshiped Him and praised.
9And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
10And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
And we shall reign on the earth, they sang, not in Heaven. Do we need more proof that we are not going to heaven to be with God?
Revelation 6
1And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see.
2And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.
3And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see.
Now the Lamb is opening and pronouncing these seals and it is foretelling the events that will lead to and take place during the great tribulation. So the vision is in the future, telling about the past, about things that will happen in the future. I thought I'd thoroughly confuse you but take some time to think about it and leave a comment if it you get it.
1st Seal
White horse with a man on it with one bow and one crown going out to conquer people!
2nd Seal
A red horse with power to take peace from the earth to kill and a great military to do it with. When one nation is being conquered, quite naturally they will fight back.
3rd Seal
Now we have a black horse with the rider holding balances in his hand measuring the wheat and barley. This is food rationing. In times of war, farming and food production goes down. It started with a nation or nations attempting to conquer, then other nations fighting back, and boom we have a war. Benito Mousilini, Adolf Hitler were the most resent that attempted to do this but the man that is coming to do this next is going to finish it.
4th Seal
Now the pale horse is riding in and his riders name is death with hell following. In war, people die, and the older folks and those who read history know about the hellish time they have after a big war and during a big war. It is not pretty.
5th Seal
John saw the altar of the people who were killed for the word of God and held onto the testimony of Jesus Christ, crying out asking the Lord how much longer must they sleep? White robes were given to them; but it was told they should rest just for a bit more until fellow brethren should sleep after being killed during this terrible time of the great tribulation. That is what these seals are about.
6th Seal
When this seal was opened, boom, a great earthquake hit; so big it divided Jerusalem in half, the sun, moon, and stars took some changes; and when you look into the sky it looks like someone just took the top off by scrolling it back. Now, when people saw this, they got scared and backed away from the table then quickly hid themselves under the table because at this point they knew play time was over. They were so scared they couldn't even find it in them to repent but ran to hide. If there was a time for them to know the bible is no lie; this is it.
These seals that the Lamb was worthy enough to reveal to us are a depiction of the great tribulation and what will be taking place. That white horse that went in to conquer is the abomination that causes desolation that Jesus warned of that Daniel wrote of. He and his administration causes all of this chaos and war leading to the return of Jesus Christ.
Revelation 7
1And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.
2And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,
3Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.
At that sixth seal, the Lord is basically sitting in the sky looking for about five or six human months and preparing to seal His servants because now He will bring on His own drama to really get the attention of people.
4And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.
He sealed 144,000 physical children of Israel; 12,000 from each of the 12 tribes of Jacob. From reading the entire bible we know that there is more than just a people called Jews.
9After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
He just did not seal physical Israelites; he seal a multitude that no one could number out of all nations, and people that survived this great tribulation and realized who the only true God is (v14).
Revelation 8
1And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.
6And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.
The 7th Seal
There was a moment of silence and then seven angels were given seven trumpets and they prepared to sound. Each trumpet sound announced a horrible thing on the earth done by God.
The first four angels sounded their trumpets and some pretty nasty things happened to the earth, people have confusion weather these things are actual or figurative, regardless they are horrible (v7-12). And in verse thirteen, an angel flying warns in great horror for the things that will happen during the next three trumpets.
Revelation 9
1And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.
6And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.
The fifth angel sound and great destruction is happen. Most of these are happening in the Middle Eastern areas because the Lord is trying to clean this area out; and empty the land of these polluted people. Nations are going to torment others so bad that people will try to kill themselves but won't even have the ability to do so. This is a fight to reunite Europe and the leaders are attempting to do it by force.
The Lord is only preserving those who have been sealed. Those without the seal; the Lord is allowing to be destroyed.
12One woe is past; and, behold, there come two woes more hereafter.
John describes the objects creating all this destruction to look like locust; these are helicopters, John did not know how to describe the modern day war machines we have created. It's a bit advanced from a sling shot artist. The being orchestrating this destruction is Apollyon, none other than Satan the devil. All that believe his lies will be caught up in all this mayhem.
13And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God,
16And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.
The sixth trumpet being blown opened room for the big war to proceed. Before this it was just battles here and there; now all nations are coming up to Jerusalem to square it off, and a third of men are going to be killed. One sides army was up to 200 million men. That is a big army; it must consist of a multitude of nations and not just one nation. This is World War III; the war to end all wars.
Revelation 10
1And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:
2And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth,
3And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices.
4And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not.
John was told to take the book from the angel and read it. It was excellent to read, tasted good like honey; but after he read it his tummy started to hurt so bad. Like us reading this bible, it taste good and is good to be in the know, and aware of the plans of God. However, it is hard to digest how much we have been misinformed, misrepresented concerning the Lord, we are sadden about how we use to live, and we are sadden by watching others who live wickedly and enjoy it. It is one thing to know that a mass serial murderer is a bad seed, and has nothing good coming to him. We know he is bad; but reading the bible, we learn that people are bad and they are pretending or showing that they are good; and that sits in the stomach like meat swallowed whole. It is just hard to digest.
Nevertheless, John was told what Jeremiah, Ezekiel and other prophets were told:
11And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.
And this is what we are doing today.
This will conclude today's reading; we will commence again tomorrow.
